Hey folks.
Welcome to Internal Comms Insights Monthly – May Edition. A lot has happened this month and I am more than happy to walk you through it.
So, buckle up and get ready for a journey into the past four weeks. Pretty dramatic, huh? I thought so too. :)
First things first, we began the month with a big piece of brag-worthy news that we want to brag about with all honesty - Sparrow Connected Received 1.4 Million Dollars of Federal Funding to Grow and Enter New Markets.
We were one of 11 Edmonton and area companies to receive funding from PrairiesCan.
We plan to use the $1,420,500 we received to enhance our technologies and launch new marketing activities promoting our all-new, multi-platform corporate communications marketplace.
- Chris Izquierdo
CEO, Sparrow Connected
We also welcomed another highly regarded internal comms professional to our Advisory Board, Priya Bates. Priya is an award-winning professional communicator.
As President and owner of Inner Strength Communication, Priya builds strategic internal communication, engagement, branding, and transformational change plans that help connect the dots between business strategy and employee delivery.
To share her expertise with the Sparrow Connected community, Priya published Are We Communicators or Communication Professionals?, where she talks about the importance of language and the need to establish a lingual base in Internal Comms.
She also shared her 5Cs of Effective Written Communication that serve as a good reminder of how to communicate effectively in written form, even for the most seasoned internal communications professionals.
We also heard from our Senior Strategic Advisor, Mike Klein, who, on his mission to help elevate internal communication professionals, shared his perspectives on employee surveys and measuring ROI.
Next, we were honored to have 3 Internal Comms Experts Discuss The Strategic Case For Internal Comms - Mike and two more highly regarded comms professionals - founder of Results Map, Caroline Kealey, and former UNICEF comms chief and founder of ZEducatr EdTech, Abhijit Shanker.
Follow us on LinkedIn and together we can accelerate business performance and elevate the world's communication leaders.
